Over 500 artists are arriving in the city to perform for the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival.
Impromptu street performances, the Big Jazz Bus and a new street food festival can be expected by Jazz festival goers.
Speaking to RedFM News, Chair of the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival Fiona Collins says an array of free and ticketed events are on offer across the Bank Holiday weekend:
"We're very excited to have the Oliver Plunkett Street Stroll on Friday, events on in the Opera House, Everyman, The Triskel,Cyprus Avenue and the Jazz Trail at a number of venues too."
Passengers flying into Cork Airport were greeted by a 14-piece brass band.
Over 500 performers will play in over 70 venues this Bank Holiday weekend for the Jazz Festival.
Speaking to RedFM News, Barry Holland from Cork Airport says over 62,000 passengers will pass through the airport this weekend:
