Gardaí are continuing to appeal for witnesses following a fatal traffic collision in West Cork on Saturday night.
It happened at around 10.20pm when a car and a 4x4 collided on the N71 near Skibbereen.
The driver of the car, a 23 year old male man from Ballydehob, was treated at the scene by emergency responders, but was pronounced dead a short time later.
The driver of the 4x4, a man in his 40s, has been taken to Cork University Hospital, suffering injuries which are not thought to be life threatening.
