Gardaí are appealing for witnesses after a car struck a pedestrian in Midleton last night.
The man in his 20's was taken to Cork University Hospital to be treated for serious injuries.
Gardaí and emergency services were alerted to the collision on the N25 at Dunsfort at around five past 11 last night.
The man in his 20's was who was walking on the road was struck by a car which caused serious injuries that are believed to be non life threatening.
The road is still closed for a technical examination and diversions are in place while Gardaí investigate the scene.
Anyone who witnessed the collision is asked to make contact with Midleton Garda Station.

Road users with camera footage (including dash-cam) who were in the area of Dunsfort, Midleton, Co. Cork, on Thursday 14th August 2025 between 10.45pm and 11.15pm are asked to make it available to Gardaí.
