A garda has been injured after the driver of a car they were trying to seize fled from the scene in Kildare late on Friday night.
He was dragged on top of the vehicle for a distance before falling, he's suffered head and upper body injuries.
The Garda was taken to Naas General Hospital and has since been discharged to recover at home.
Officers found the car later, after it was involved in a crash in Straffan Village.
A man in his 20s was arrested in connection with this incident yesterday morning, but Gardai are continuing to appeal for witnesses.
