The video game retailer has six stores in the city and county at Patrick's Street, Wilton, Douglas, Blackpool, Mallow and Midleton.
It's not yet known how many jobs will be lost when the stores close.
The group announced in March that they would no longer be issuing gift cards or accepting trade ins of used consoles or games.
