Funerals Of Priest And Bus Driver Who Died In Monkstown Crash On Tuesday To Take Place Today

72 year old Fr Con Cronin died when he was hit by a bus that veered out of control.

51 year old Mark Wills from Ballincollig had a suspected heart attack behind the wheel.

Fr Con's funeral will take place at St Joseph's Church in Coomhola in West Cork at 2pm and will be livestreamed on Memorial Lane .ie

The funeral service for Mark Wills will take place in Ballincollig at 11am and will be livestreamed on Church Services .tv

Both funeral services will take place in private due to Covid guidelines.

Local councillor Derry Canty says Mark Wills' death has stunned Ballincollig:

"Everyone was upset. Everyone. You just could feel the cloud hanging over the town centre, everywhere, and especially here in Ballincollig, where he grew up in. His mother and father were involved very much in the GAA club locally here. Words couldn't describe the atmosphere and the feeling here in Ballincollig in relation when they heard of Mark's death."
