A humanitarian fund for businesses and sports clubs impacted by flooding in Cork last week will open today.
Businesses and organisations which are unable to access insurance will receive €5,000 immediately
and can apply for the additional €15,000 to help with repair costs.
This scheme which is to be announced after todays' Cabinet meeting and will help businesses with the cost of the replacement of flooring, fixtures, fittings, and damaged stock.
About 23 premises were flooded in Bantry last week during Storm Barra.
