Four fire units remain at Stryker's Tullagreen facility in Carrigtwohill this afternoon.
Crews rushed to the scene in Cork after the alarm was raised at half nine this morning.
The Tullagreen building was evacuated this morning and some employees and marshals in yellow jackets remain outside the building this afternoon.
Units of the Fire Service remain at the scene and there is no public access to the grounds of the building on the IDA site.
It’s not yet known where or how the fire was started no one was injured.
It’s the second fire at a Stryker plant in Carrigtwohill in the space of a week.
Last Tuesday a fire on the roof of the nearby Anngrove building injured two men and leaving one of them- a 41 year old man- in critical condition in hospital.
The HSA is investigating last week’s fire and has also launched an investigation into today’s incident.
