Firefighters battled a blaze on Heir Island yesterday evening.
Crews from the Skibbereen Fire Station were called into action after reports of a gorse fire on the island of the coast of west cork at around 5.40pm.
They were transferred to the island by Baltimore RNLI who say it's a good example of the co-ordination between the emergency services.
