A Cork County Councillor has announced his resignation from the Council.
Fine Gael Councillor Michael Paul Murtagh announced on social media today that he is no longer in a position to continue in the role and has offered his resignation with immediate effect.
The Cork City Firefighter represented the Ballincollig-Carrigaline electoral area and was co-opted into the Council in June 2021.
