The case of Luke Hyde who drowned in the River Lee last week, and the filming and sharing of tragic incidents online, has been highlighted in the Dail.

Cork TD Ken O'Flynn emphasized the need for a ban on the filming and sharing of these events, which could be called Luke's law.

Speaking to the Neil Prendeville show, Luke's friend Kellie Ann Peyton says she's happy with the progress but wants to keep things moving:

"Since I was last speaking to you, I actually started the research myself and Germany have a law in place and if you do those things you could be fined or spend up to one year in prison."
