Angry farmers will disrupt traffic this morning in an effort to highlight what they say is the over-regulation of their industry.

Tractors will assemble at Little Island and Cork Airport before travelling to County Council offices in a convoy during rush hour as part of their "Enough Is Enough" campaign.

Members of the Irish Farmers Association say their costs are rising as they try to comply with regulations and deal with over-complicated schemes.

Speaking to RedFM News, Conor O'Leary of the IFA in Cork says farmers have no choice but to step up their campaign.

"We are expecting quite a number of people that I would think it will be certainly over 100. I believe that there will be tractors coming from a number of areas, and I think they will be leaving early now, our start time there is 9.30am and tractors will be on their way fromo'clock in the morning so there will be tractors on the road."
