Emergency services are responding to a gas leak in Kinsale
The county fire service says units from Kinsale and Carrigaline were alerted to the scene of a truck leaking liquid petroleum gas in the centre of the west cork town this morning.
The area is sealed off and local businesses have been evacuated while the fire service says there have been no fires as a result of the leak.
Gardaí are advising the public to avoid the area.
Emily from Cups and Cones in Kinsale told the Neil Prendeville Show what she saw:
"There was this Garda barricade and basically they said what's happening and they said there was a calor gas truck and it just leaked, so they have now barricaded from The White House down to O.H.K Cafe. There's jsut a bit of commotion around town and the smell of gas is just horrible."
