An elderly man has died following a fatal Road Traffic Accident in Kinsale yesterday morning.
The man, who was in his mid-80s, suffered serious injuries when he fell from a mobility scooter while travelling on Cork Street in Kinsale.
The accident happened in the town, shortly after half past 9 yesterday morning.
Gardaí and Emergency Services attended at the scene.
He was rushed to Cork University Hospital by the National Ambulance Service, where he has since been pronounced dead.
The Coroner has been notified and an examination of the scene by Garda Forensic Collision Investigators is being arranged
Gardaí are appealing for witnesses.
