The earth and cliff face underneath the road near Fountainstown is being badly eroded.

The road from Greenacres to the Ferry Point was discussed at this month’s meeting of Carrigaline Municipal District.

According to The Echo, a senior engineer with the Coastal and Flood Projects Section, Gillian Vaughan, told the councillors that "there may be scope to apply for funding under the Climate Adaptation and Resilience Works Grant Scheme from the Department of Transport.
