Plans to make the early years education sector more affordable and easier to access will go to Cabinet next week.
The Minister for Children is finalising work on phase one of the Early Years Action Plan which is due for publication next week.
The proposal is set to include increases in the income limits for the National Childcare Scheme from next September.
Minister Norma Foley also wants to simplify administration in the sector to reduce the amount of red tape for providers and parents.
