Cork Airport expects to handle over 5 million passengers per annum into the years ahead
The Taoiseach has launched a €200 Million Capital Development Plan which includes the demolition and replacement of the old terminal and control tower with a new pier and additional aircraft parking stands
Significant investment will also be made in passenger facilities including a new security screening area, larger duty-free shop and installation of new air bridges
The plan is the most significant capital investment project for Cork Airport in nearly quarter of a century
Cork Airport is Ireland's fastest-growing airport and will serve 3.4 million passengers this year, having grown its passenger base by over 50% in the last decade
The airport contributes over €1 billion to the Irish economy, directly and indirectly employing over 12,000 people
