The famous Dursey Island cable car is once again hanging from its ropes after over a year of being out of service.
Cork South West TD Christopher O’Sullivan said, “finally after 14 months the cable car is hanging on its ropes again. It’s been a long time coming but we are nearly there. Locals and farmers who rely on the island had to put up with a lot of setbacks, they have had to battle for a ferry service and have had to deal with missed timelines, but they are resilient people and I know they will bounce back.”
