Drivers are being warned to take care over the next few days while the sun is strong and roads are icy.
The Road Safety Authority has issued a warning about the sun glare, which can result in drivers being temporarily dazzled or blinded by the intensity and brightness of a low sun.
Met Eireann is forecasting both sunny clear days as well as icy roads over the weekend.
The RSA is advising drivers to minimise the risk by wearing sunglasses, ensure your windscreen is clear, and reduce your speed.
