Emergency services remain at the scene of an accident on the N25 between Midleton and Carrigtwohill.
The collision between two cars happened just after 8am this morning.
Gardaí from Midleton , 4 units of the fire brigade from Midleton and Cobh and the ambulance service all attended the scene.
One woman was taken to hospital but her injuries are not believed to be serious.
The N25 was closed for a time but one lane has now reopened with earlier delays easing.
