Tina Satchwell’s half-sister has described Richard Satchwell as ‘obsessive’ and said he always wanted to know who his wife was speaking to and where she was going.
58-year-old Richard Satchwell of Grattan Street, Youghal as pleaded NOT guilty to the murder of Tina Satchwell at the same address in March 2017.
Lorraine Howard said Richard Satchwell’s accusation his wife had been violent towards him had only started after Tina was reported missing.
Ms Howard said Tina Satchwell found out the woman she thought was her mother was actually her grandmother at the time of her confirmation.
She said the revelation left Tina shocked and feeling like she had been lied to for a long time.
She also told the court Mr Satchwell would find fault with all Tina’s friends, resulting in her circle of friends becoming smaller.
The defence has closed its case and the prosecution’s closing speech will begin tomorrow.
