The Courtmacsherry RNLI Lifeboat was called to the aid of a 70 foot fishing boat which got into difficulties yesterday morning.
The fishing vessel was 22 miles south east of the Old Head of Kinsale, and the alarm was raised at 10.40am when their propellers became disabled.
The lifeboat with six crew on board located the vessel at 11.50am, and a decision was made to tow the boat back to Kinsale Harbour, arriving back to dock at the local pier at 6pm with no injuries reported on board.
It was the 23rd call out of the year for Courtmacsherry RNLI Lifeboat.
