Cork's Indian nurses say they're worried racial attacks which have happened around the country will spread to Cork.

It comes as the Irish Nurses and Midwives Organisation says recent unprovoked attacks on members of the Indian community must be condemned.

Speaking to RedFM News, Janet Baby Joseph from Cork Indian Nurses says migrant nurses and midwives shouldn't be afraid to work here:

"When these kind of attacks occur in other counties onbiously people in Cork are afraid, just because it could happen here anytime. We all came here on request to fill the gap in the health sector so if all the Indians left I don't know how the sector would stay right."
