A Cork village is aiming to set the world record for the largest number of people named Michael Collins in the same place.
The residents of Newcestown are aiming to set the world record this coming Sunday.
The gathering is being held to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the Irish revolutionary's death.
Niall O'Mahony owner of O'Mahoney's Bar in Newcestown is one of the organisers:
"We have our festival this time of the year anyway and it was coinciding with the anniversary of my president of Michael Collins, so we decided we better do something for it. We have three Michael Collins' living in the parish and we said if we got them up here it would be a nice picture so that's where we went with it and they're getting great traction at the moment and we're getting a great response to it."
