Fine Gael Senator Jerry Buttimer has been elected as the new Cathaoirleach of the Seanad.
He takes over from Fianna Fáil's Mark Daly, the first switch to take place as part of the Government changeover.
Tomorrow Leo Varadkar and Micheál Martin will swap the positions of Taoiseach and Tánaiste.
