Coláiste Eamann Rís in Turners Cross is among the 5% of secondary schools around the country that do not have a PE Hall

The Department of Education is examining the issue but it may be 2026 which the school principal says is too far out for their students

Speaking to RedFM News school principal Aaron Wolfe says the Department needs to expedite their review schedule for the 5% of schools that don't have sports halls

"We can't just be looking at building new schools or retrofitting or just looking at schools to bring in special classes, because if your school already has special classes, you're not getting anything from the pot. So we need a full review of school buildings, and that includes looking at PE halls, and it needs to be done urgently, if they want to take PE as seriously as the Department of Education say they will"
