Cork Penny Dinners says some parents are struggling with the cost of their children's communions.

The charity has opened a pop up shop which provides dresses, suits, books and rosary beads to children making their First Holy Communion.

Speaking to RedFM News, Caitriona Twomey says the donations are a huge help to families struggling with the cost of living:

"If I was to pick on one thing it's the cost of living, everyone's finances is going on the cost of living, this is where we step in. You can see the amount of stuff that we have, children are happy to give up their dresses when some other child is going to benefit."
