A 5 day food festival kicks off in Cork city centre today.
The inaugural 'Cork on a Fork' runs from today until this Sunday, and is celebrating all the great food, drink and dining experiences Cork has to offer.
The festival is set to feature a long-table style street dinner, unique experiences, food trails, tasting masterclasses, street events, bite-size food talks, cooking demos, Cork on a Fork specials, family fun, as well as night-time food experiences.
One of the festival highlights, the sold-out Taste of Princes Street Dinner, takes place at 6pm this evening. This event will see 200 guests seated along the newly pedestrianised street for a formal long-table style dinner showcasing the range of quality produce in the region and the culinary offering on the street.
It’s the perfect opportunity for locals and visitors to sample the finest local food, take part in unique culinary experiences, discover the incredible range of local producers in the region, and enjoy the buzz of the city’s vibrant new outdoor dining and nightlife scene.
