A Cork museum has been recognised for meeting the highest standards in museum care.

The achievements of 11 Irish museums, including Nano Nagle Place here are being formally recognised today through the Heritage Council’s Museum Standards Programme for Ireland.

Nano Nagle Place has achieved Full Accreditation for the first time – the highest level of recognition available through the programme - reflecting its success of balancing heritage preservation with education and visitor programmes.
