A Cork woman from Ballinspittle who survived breast cancer says her diagnosis three years ago was completely unexpected.

Mother of two 55 year-old Anna Hickey, who is a black belt martial artist, was diagnosed in November 2023 after a routine mammogram.

Today is Daffodil Day and thousands of volunteers will be on the streets around the country asking for donations for the Irish Cancer Society.

People can also donate this Daffodil Day via cancer.ie or through Revolut.
