A Cork GP says people are having less children due to financial uncertainty.
One in three women cannot afford to have children according to a new Ipsos survey.
Speaking to RedFM News, Blackpool GP Dr John Sheehan says the high cost of living and accommodation is forcing people to delay starting a family:
"The number of children that people are having is decreasing and this is probably due to a variety of reasons, the cost of living crisis where people have difficulties planning the future for their children. The increasing age that people are starting their families due to a variety of reasons maybe their career, financial pressures, the housing situation."
