A Cork East TD says some Sinn Féin deputies have no business being in the Dáil.
Fianna Fail's James O'Connor said the days are gone when a TD could be assured of a 30 or 40- year career in politics.
At 25, Deputy O'Connor is the youngest TD in the Dáil and says brand politics can mean the tide going out on a party very quickly.
James O'Connor says that's an advantage for parties riding high in the polls:
"It's a constant battle trying to keep out there and you know, it's not just doing the groundwork anymore. It's more marketing. Like I'll give you an example. I'm not making a slight against anyone but there was a Sinn Féin TD and he was on holidays during the general election, when I was nearly having a heart attack, with 50 People canvassing and you know, we've struggled to get over the line and there was people, particularly in Sinn Féin in the last election like mother of God, they have no business being here in the first place, and they got elected."
