Cork City's Coroner cycling over 200km to raise funds for cancer research in CUH

Cork City's Coroner is taking to two wheels to raise money for cancer research at Cork University Hospital today and tomorrow.

Philip Comyn will cycle 220 kilometres from Galway to CUH in memory of his two sisters Rose and Deirdre and nephew Christopher, who died of three different types of cancer in the past six years.

Three of his friends will be joining him for the two-day cycle and his wife Gwynne will be following in a support car.

Philip's 'Cycle for Cancer Research' Go Fund Me campaign has raised almost €11,000 so far for Cancer Research at CUH since the start of July.

Speaking to RedFM News, Philip says he only started training for the effort in January but he feels ready for the challenge:
