Cork city is getting ready to roll out Corkmas - the city's annual Christmas celebration - and RedFM will be there all the way

From November 14th with the spectacular Corkmas parade right through to December 31st the city will be alive with festive sights, sounds and flavours

Santa Claus will make a quick early visit to the city at the Corkmas parade to switch on the Christmas lights

The Christmas Markets will open at Emmett Place on November 21st followed by the Santa Experience and the Ferris Wheel on the Grand Parade the following week

Corkmas 2025 - key dates for your diary:

- 14 November: Corkmas Parade

-  21 November: Opening of the Festive Markets, Emmett Place

- 28 November: Opening of the Santa Experience, Emmett Place

- 28 November: Opening of the Ferris Wheel, Grand Parade

The celebrations begin on Friday 14 November, when the Corkmas Parade fills the city with light, music, and wonder from 7.00pm to 8.00pm. Returning for its second year, the parade will feature dazzling floats, marching bands, performers, and of course, a very special visit from Santa Claus, marking the traditional switching on of Cork’s Christmas lights.

Families can then enjoy the Christmas Market and Santa Experience at Emmett Place, open Thursday to Sunday from 21 November through December, offering festive food, handmade gifts, and magical memories for all ages.

Meanwhile, the iconic Ferris Wheel and vintage carousel will once again take pride of place on Grand Parade from 28 November, offering unbeatable views of the city’s winter wonderland.

Lord Mayor of Cork, Fergal Dennehy, said:

Adding to the festive atmosphere, a packed programme of FREE family-friendly events and live music performances will bring the city centre to life through December.
