Cork Business Association says businesses are crippled with an avalanche of financial costs at the moment.

It comes as businesses had to pay back any warehoused debt to Revenue yesterday after an extension from January 2023.

The extra cost comes amid business owners calling for Government support for staff wage expences, rising rents and soaring energy costs.

Speaking to RedFM News, Dave O'Brien from Cork Business Association says the Government has to do something to help struggling businesses:

"It's the fact that they're all happening at the same time, it's an avalanche of costs that businesses are facing at the moment. And we just feel in the association that the Government should be able to do something to help the smaller businesses, which, you know, are barely making profits and some, in some instances."
