Cork is among the counties with the highest number of alcohol related liver disease.
511 cases were recorded across the county in 2022.
Speaking to RedFM News, David Lane from Cork's Local Drug and Alcohol Taskforce says the figure is worrying:
"In terms of Cork, we had over 500 hospitalisations of alcohol related liver disease, and that is absoloutely worrying, because again that is one of the highest number of alcohol related liver disease hospitalisations at present."
