Cork activists are taking part in a 72 hour sit out fast for Palestine outside City Hall.

Cork Palestine Solidarity Groups members are sleeping out and starving themselves to draw attention to the extreme hunger in Gaza.

The group is calling on the Irish Government to hold Israel and its supporters accountable for its war crimes.

Speaking to RedFM News, Cork Palestine Solidarity Group member Catherine O’Sullivan explains why she’s fasting for 24 hours:

"We've seen images of children completely worn down to their bones, so 24 hours is a very small sacrafice in comparison to that, I know now when my next meal is but people in Gaza don't know when their next meal is, it's so few and far between."
