A study carried out by a consultant in geriatric medicine at Cork University Hospital been recognised and published in the prestigious New England Journal of Medicine.
Dr. Kirstyn James of CUH authored an educational video on the mobility of older adults.
The video shows the importance of mobility assessment in improving care of older adults.
The publishing of the study follows the recognition, in February, of the Department of Geriatric Medicine at CUH as the first in Europe to achieve an Age Friendly Health System award.
