Uisce Eireann says it took remedial action including targeted flushing and follow up sampling until a compliant result was reached
Speaking to RedFM News Deputy Gould is calling for an independent review into Uisce Eireann's handling of the matter
"They should have notified customers immediately, so they could have stopped drinking the water. Manganese, in high levels is very dangerous. It's affecting 86,000 people right across the northside and pockets of the southside, and I'm looking for an independent investigation"
