Cobh is expecting a tourism boost this summer as 90 cruise liners will visit the town.
The first liner of the year, a ship called Ambience arrived this morning and passengers have already disembarked and won't be back on board until just before 7PM.
Cobh is now often the first post of call for around 100,000 passengers a year from Europe and North America and is famous for being the last port of call for the Titanic.
Passengers can explore the Titanic Museum, Cobh Heritage Centre and dine in local bars and restaurants while also making trips to other parts of Cork and it's expected to generate millions for the local economy.
Speaking to RedFM News, Cobh Harbour Chamber President Johanna Murphy says the ships were missed during Covid:
"We didn't realise the level of devastation of not having the cruise ships in town till they were gone. Then they came back it was again all this flurry of people coming into town to experience or to instructions which we have a lot of now. So like you'd have the Titanic experience. The heritage centre, Spike Island, the Titanic Trail, you have the cathedral, the museum, there's so much here. It's brilliant."
