Blarney Community First Responders have said that a defibrillator, located outside Blarney Woollen Mills was vandalised just before Christmas.

The damage caused meant that it can't be used at present and had to be taken away.

The same defibrillator, or AED, was also badly vandalised in March.

The units cost well over €1000.

Blarney Community First Responders reminded the public that they can always call 999/112, and that other AEDs are in the locality, in locations such as Blarney Auto Centre, the Waterloo Inn, and Cloghroe Stores.
