The Big Beach Clean in Cork is taking place this weekend.
It's an annual event for communities and volunteers across the country to get together and remove litter from Irish coast at the end of the bathing season.
Volunteers can also chose to take part in a worldwide citizen science project by data on the amount and types of litter on Irish beaches and completing special information cards.
