A video of traffic incidents from concerned residents on the Ballyhooly Road is being shown in the Dáil today.
It’s part of a protest from the Love 30 campaign group to introduce a 30km/h speed limit in built up areas.
Residents from St Luke’s and Dillons Cross have erected their own signs outside their homes calling for people to slow down.
Speaking to RedFM News, Ciara Eccles from the Ballyhooly Road and Summer Hill North Residents Group says the current 50 kilometre zone needs to be reduced:
"People with young families, babies with buggies, elderly people trying to get to appointments, bring their shopping in, there is no where safe too cross, there is huge issues with speeding and blind corners on this road, we already have plenty of examples of damaged properties, cars, crashes and near misses on this road, we don't want anything more serious to happen."
