A residents group who have been documenting anti-social behaviour in their estate since 2018 say they feel like they have no choice but to go public with the issue.

The Ard Patrick residents group say the problems they have been highlighting for years are getting worse.

This month the group posted CCTV footage of a hooded man they said had tried to break into a house before he and another man broke into a car in the driveway.

They have also posted video of what appears to be a youth riding a scrambler at high speed through the estate without protective gear.

This resident told RedFM News that scenes like that are becoming more and more common.

"Life is very difficult for us, I guess we're very vulnerable.

"We bought our homes hoping to have the same quality of life as everybody else in Cork city, and we just don't have that.

Yesterday evening a young person flew through the estate on a motorbike, with children going out their front doors - it's just reckless danger.

"That's an everyday occurrence. We're very vulnerable. I'm not sure what else to say."
