Det Sgt Christopher Cahill said Derek Blighe was arrested at 7:20 this morning and replied ‘No comment’ when the charge of harassment against a named individual was put to him.

Det Sgt Cahill alleged that Blighe had engaged in a ‘campaign of harassment’ against the Garda over a ten month period and had filmed and posted videos of the Garda to social media on a number of occasions between the 22nd of February 2023 and 4th of December 2023.
