Afghan man living in Cork says several of his family and friends were killed in a bomb blast at the weekend

Bilal Jalil has been in contact with the Department of Justice to see if there is any way his family can move to Ireland to escape the Taliban.

Bilal's mother, brother and cousin were badly injured during the blast around 30 kilometres from the capital Kabul and are currently in hospital.

Around 400,000 people have been forced to leave their homes in the country since the start of the year.

Speaking to RedFM News, Bilal describes what happened to his family and neighbours:
