A woman has given a statement to Gardai about a hit and run incident that injured a 13 year old in the city in October

13 year old Jack Duggan was left with a large swelling on his forehead after he was hit by a car and landed on his head on Blarney Road on October 3rd last.

Jack was treated for his injuries at the time and discharged from hospital, however he had to undergo emergency surgery at CUH on October 20th when his condition deteriorated.

He has since made a good recovery.

Jack's older sister Donna issued a public appeal for information on the Neil Prendeville Show on Cork's RedFM earlier this month.

A woman subsequently contacted Gardaí on the northside of the city and a file is being prepared for the DPP.

Speaking on the Neil Prendeville Show at the start of this month, Jack's sister Donna outlined what happened to him:
