60s music icon, singer-songwriter Donovan and his wife, collage artist Linda Lawrence, are to be honoured by their adopted home next month.
They will jointly be included in the Honorary Corkperson's Roll of Honour at the annual Cork Person of the Year Awards in March.
The pair have lived in North Cork since at least 2008.
Donovan was inducted into the Rock n’ Roll Hall of Fame in 2012 and into the Songwriters’ Hall of Fame in 2014.
His hit songs include Catch The Wind, Sunshine Superman, Mellow Yellow, Universal Soldier, and Hurdy Gurdy Man.
The Cork Person of the Year Awards were founded in 1993 to recognise outstanding achievements by people from Cork.
