Just 44 pledges of accommodation for Ukrainian refugees in Co. Cork have been honoured, with 108 people accommodated.
The Echo report that 886 pledges were made, initially through the Irish Red Cross who managed the pledges before being taken over by local government.
623 pledges were made to house refugees in shared accommodation across Cork, however 478 were withdrawn or were uncontactable.
263 pledges of vacant properties were made, with 159 of those being withdrawn, 24 properties were deemed unsuitable with 48 deemed too rural or remote.
