300 new jobs have been announced for Cork.
Qualcomm say the 125 million euro investment is a move that will see the company's local workforce grow to well over one thousand employees in the coming years.
The tech company has grown to more than 780 employees locally over the past decade.
The investment will further drive the company to develop the standards and protocols that underpin 5G and emerging 6G technologies, alongside advanced AI and low-power computing
Minister of State and Cork TD Jerry Buttimer says the investment is a strong vote of confidence in Cork.
The investment marks a significant milestone as it has been ten years since hiring Qualcomm hired its first engineer in Cork.
